KARACHI: CM Sindh chaired a meeting regarding second phase of Local Bodies elections, during which several decisions were made, while Rangers have refused to give more than 3500 contingent, after which Sindh Government has decided to seek help from military.
CM Sindh chaired an important meeting to review security and administrative measures for second phase of Local Bodies elections in 15 districts.
The meeting made several important decisions, according to which weapons exhibition and carrying weapon will be prohibited 48 hours before polling, while any minister, advisor or candidate will have to face arrest over violation.
IG Sindh expressed fear that PPP rebel leader Zulfiqar Mirza could cause distortion in the environment. Badin, Sanghar, Thar, Umar Kot and Mirpur Khas have been declared sensitive.
Provincial Minister Nisar Khuro and Nasir Hussain Shah, Municipal Secretary, Chief Secretary and other officers attended the meeting.
