SUKKUR: Commissioner Sukkur, Muhammad Abbas Baloch has directed the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of the Sukkur division to prepare public-oriented new district development schemes with the consultation of public representatives of the areas concerned under the new priority development initiatives.
Presiding over a meeting at his office here on Wednesday, he directed the DCs to mobilize their all resources under District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) to tackle any untoward situation due to heavy rainfall in their district concerned during current monsoon.
He said that on the directives by the Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Qaim Ali Shah, the district development committee comprising on public representative and government officers having expertise should be constituted for each district to weigh the proposal and monitor the implementation of district development schemes not only to ensure utilisation of development funds in a transparent manner but also to efficiently deliver to the people of the areas.
