CM Sindh stress on members of APEX Committee follow up ‘NAP’

KARACHI: The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has stressed upon the members of provincial APEX Committee formed in the follow up of National Action Plan of the Federal Govt against the terrorism, to ensure tangible output, achievements with in shortest possible time and to build the confidence of the people.
He said that It was the high time to get the rid of from the menace of terrorism. He said that today we are facing ensurency like situation, and to combat the extra ordinary situation, extra ordinary steps are needed he added and said that the amendment in the constitution and army act to set up the military courts to try the terrorists was not ordinary but it was a bold and big step to eliminate the menace of terrorism from our society and further more strengthen the solidarity and integrity of the country.
This he observed while delivering his presidential address to the 1st meeting of the APEX Committee which was called to discuss and decide the modalities for implementation on the Sindh Action Plan under the guidelines of the National Action Plan of the Federal Govt held at CM House Karachi today.
The Sindh Governor Dr. Eshrat-ul-Ebad the Core Commander Karachi General Naveed Mukhtar, Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Enam Memon, Sindh Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Sikandar Mendhro, Chief Secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem Hotiyana, Principal Secretary to CM Alummuddin Bullo ,Secretary Home Dr. Niaz Abbasi , DG Rangers Bilal Akbar, IG Sindh Police Ghulam Hyder Jamali, other officer of LEAs attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed and deliberated over the guidelines of the Federal Govt to implement on the provincial action plan in detail and assigned the jobs to different committees, made some recommendations for effective implementation on the Sindh Action Plan.
The meeting was also discussed the security issues Pertaining to Karachi and also for strengthening of the forces, expediting their working as well. The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah while concluding the meeting said that unfortunate Peshawar incident has brought all the political parties on one page and convince them to attend All Parties Conference (APC) to find out the strategy against the terrorism unanimously. He said that this sprit resulted big and bold steps with consensus (except few) to make time bounded amendment in the constitution and Army Act only to try the militants in the military courts.
He said that it was clear, that no one come from outside to save our people and our children from the terrorists and we have to fight with them with own resources and forces. He said that as usual, today Pak-Army was with us the civilian Govt to eradicate the menace of terrorism and it was high time to implement on the law with letter & sprit and save our children even future generation from the menace of terrorism once for all and added that each individual and organization assigned with responsibilities under Apex Committee must have to show its tangible output.
He said that Sindh Govt is already combating with terrorism under targeted operation against the heinous crimes in Karachi but today the situation was different, today we have different law . We must avail this time bounded opportunity in the interest of the province and in the interest of the country. He said that Sindh Govt was giving top priority to law & order and it remain committed to combat terrorism in all its form and manifestation.
