Citizens continue protest against TMO over issues unressolved

DADU: Citizens of Dadu town deprived from their basic amenities as heaps of garbage placed at various places, caused spread of various diseases in town due to failure of drainage system, poor sanitation and non supply of drinking water increased problems for the citizens. In reaction, activists of Shahri Welfare Action Committee Dadu continued protests against TMO – Taluka Municipal Officer for not resolving the basic issues of the citizens on Monday.

Activists of Shahri Welfare Action Committee Dadu led by Dr Abdul Jabbar Babar and Furqan Ahmed Kabooro, carried pla cards, marched various streets, roads of town and staged demonstration before local press club. They raised slogans against TMO – Taluka Municipal Officer, Ghulam Sarwar Rahpoto for not resolving their basic issues of Dadu town.

Talking this reporter after holding demonstration, Dr Abdul Jabbar Babar said that citizens of Dadu were deprived from their basic rights and are suffering from failure of drainage system, poor sanitation and non provision of drinking water to citizens since last three months and they were compelled to purchase the water.

Furqan Kabooro warned if failure of drainage system, poor sanitation would not be restored soon, they would run agitation against TMO, Ghulam Sarwar Rahpoto and will continue procession across the district.

They appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, PPP patron in chief, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, CM Sindh to take suo moto action against TMO, Ghulam Sarwar Rahpoto and direct concerned authorities to immediately remove him and appoint an honest officer at Taluka Municipal Administration Dadu.
