ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINS ILLEGALITY
CHIEF SECRETARY VISITS CLEANING OF NALAS IN KARACHI SOUTH

KARACHI: Chief Secretary Sindh, Sajjad Saleem Hotiana today visited the stormy Nalas and main drains linked to the Arabic Ocean, in District South, Karachi. Administrator KMC and Senior Officers of KMC, DMC South and KW&SB were present.
Hotiana inspected the cleanliness work, carried on at various Nalas viz; pitcher, Freer, Mancher Colony, Rexor and Sultanabad Nalas. He also visited Nahr-e-Khayam.
He expressed concern over the net work of illegal water supply on the filthy surface of few Nalas, and asked the KW&SB officials to take action against this illegality and submit report within 24 hours.
Sajjad Saleem Hotiana directed the Administrator KMC and D.C. South to ensure cleanliness of drains in due course of time. He also directed to the administrator KMC to monitor the work of Karachi water board and initiate action against the illegal hydrants.
While talking to the Media on the spot the Chief Secretary said that comprehensive cleanliness and sanitation work in Karachi city would be completed within 10 days.
On the occasion President, Karachi Union of Journalist, G.M. Jamali and Director Public Relations, Naukhaiz Anwar Siddiqui were also present.
