KARACHI: Chief Secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem Hotiana has advised the officers and employees of Sindh Government to ensure office decorum, efficiency, discipline, punctuality and evolve the strategic efforts pertained to the public service.
He expressed these views on the eve of the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah’s visit to Sindh Secretariat. During the visit a group of Journalists referred the C.S yesterdays visit to Lyari and other areas of city. Later Sajjad Saleem Hotiana advised the Secretary Implementation Cap.(Rtd) A. Kabeer Qazi for evolving the coordinated efforts for inter-departmental liasoning with a views to achieve the goals of good governance. He also desired the fortnightly progress of Departmental performance.
SINDH ARCHIVES TO LAUNCH 3 PROJECTS of RESEARCH, PUBLICATION & DOCUMENTATION

KARACHI: Sindh Archives, which is engaged in the collection and preservation of rare source material on the history has reached an agreement with Endowment Fund Trust for launching new projects on research, documentation and publication, said Deputy Director Archives in a press release on Thursday.
He informed that the Endowment Fund trust will support the preservation of Sindh’s artistic, tangible and intangible heritage that are endangered and take necessary steps for its restoration and conservation on modern scientific lines.
He said that Sindh Archives is a repository of rare material and documents consisting of old Commissioner’s Records, Judiciary Records, Gazettes, Karachi Registrar Records, rare Manuscripts of private collection and eminent scholars.
He further informed that as per agreement, 600 rare books will be re-published and almost all 962 rare manuscripts will be preserved adding that the task of preservation will include Mirza Kalich Baig’s letters and other archival material along with preparation of descriptive catalogues of the documents available/acquired by the Sindh Archives.
