Chairman Sindh Fankar awards famous poet & writer a life achievement Award

: A book launch ceremony “Ishq Khe Shabash” was organized and paid tribute to a familiar poet, writer and broadcaster Innayat Baloch at Mumtaz Mirza Studio Karachi on Wednesday.
A large number of Fankars and civil society notables paid rich tribute on the occasion of his services and writings travelogue and other true depictions of society. He was also congratulated on the occasion all class of society.
While Chairman Sindh Fankar Welfare Trust (SFWT) Hameed Bhutto also awarded Innayat Baloch a life achievement Award on his services rendered for the artists and other society representatives.
He was also accompanied with well known personalities among Dr. Ali Nawaz Ali Shaok, Shehnaz Shoro, Innyat Baloch, Dr. Suleman Shiakh, Mehtab Akber Rashdi, Hameed Bhutto and Naseer Mirza, who also took part in launch ceremony on the occasion.

Gas thieves attacked on SSGC’s raiding team in Abdullah Goth

SSGC’s Customer Relations Department (CRD) conducted a raid against direct use of gas in Abdullah Goth, National Highway, Bin Qasim Town on August 12, 2014. After receiving authentic reports from reliable sources regarding illegal use of gas in Abdullah Goth, SSGC’s task force conducted a coordinated raid against gas thieves. When the team members were engaged in disconnecting the illegal gas connections, some unknown miscreants attacked on them and created a harassment situation. Such elements made hurdles in disconnection process.
During the operation, the Task force disconnected 3,500 houses, which were involved in stealing gas. All such owners of houses were using rubber pipes, which were buried underground and were connected with ‘Tee connections’ on service valves. According to a source from customer’s relations department of SSGC, 197,540 million cubic feet gas has been roughly estimated as stolen during one year, costing about Rs. 50 million. The SSGC’s concerned officers have already lodged written complaint against gas theft, in the area Police station.
