KARACHI: Chief Secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem Hotiana has taken a serious view over the insanitation around the Jamia Masjid Samanabad Trust Block-18, F.B. Area, Karachi, where filthy sewerage not only deteriorating the roads and walls of mosque and nearest ground where the congregation of eid-ul-fitr prayer also takes place .
On a complaint from the mosque committee and residents of area, the Chief Secretary has desired prompt action for cleanliness of the mosque area and called report from Commissioner Karachi, Administrator KMC and M.D., KW&SB, within 03 days.
Sajjad Saleem Hotiana has also asked the Secretary Local Government and all Commissioners and Administrator in Sindh to ensure cleanliness of sanitation within 07 days before Jumatul Wida, enabling the people to perform Eid Prayer.
He also emphasized according such Municipal Service in respects of Eid Gahs, throughout the province.
Sindh Govt appoints Gulzar Firoz as Advisor

KARACHI: The Government of Sindh has appointed former Chairman Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) Gulzar Firoz as Advisor to the Minister of Industries.
The Chief Minister through a notification issued the other day has nominated Gulzar Firoz to serve the ministry of Industries as advisor in view of his long and rich experience and for his services interalia for the industry. Gulzar Firoz is the immediate past vice president of FPCCI and has also served as Chairman Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI).
He was the pioneer of Pakistan’s first ever industrial water treatment plant installed in Korangi Industrial Area.
Chairman PTA (SZ) Fawad Jawed and all the office bearers of PTA have congratulated him for this honour he has been given. Fawad said that PTA feels proud and it is confident that he will contribute to the betterment of local Industry.
He advised the members of the association to remain in contact with him and avail his help in matters concerning Ministry of Industries, Govt of Sindh.
3 ASSISTANT ADVOCATE GENERAL APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR

KARACHI: Governor Sindh has appointed three Advocates as Assistant Advocate Generals Sindh. According to the notification issued by the Law Department, Government of Sindh, the Governor has appointed Mr. Abdul Jabbar Qureshi, Barrister Shaharyar Imdad Awan and Miss Saima Imdad as Assistant Advocate General with immediate effect.
