ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday kicked off his party’s rally from Islamabad to reach Mirpur where he is scheduled to address a large public gathering,
According to our correspondent, the road caravan led by Bilawal departed from Zardari House Islamabad.
The convoy, which is joined by a large number of PPP supporters, would reach Mirpur after passing through Islamabad, Rawat, Gujar Khan and Dina areas where it will be welcomed by the party workers.
The activity comes amid electioneering in Azad Kashmir where polls are just weeks away for the region’s legislative assembly.
Though schedule of the elections has not been announced yet, mainstream political parties, including PTI, PML-N and PPP, are engaged in rallies to fight elections.
Tough competition is expected between PPP and PML-N across the AJK.
