KARACHI: Director Anti-Corruption Establishment Sindh Karachi Ghulam Hussain Memon has said that a party of Anti Corruption under the supervision of Judicial Magistrate VII District East Karachi has caught red handed accused Munshi of Union Council No. 10 Pehlwan Goth Gulshan –i-Iqbal Town Karachi and recovered the bribe amount from his pocket.
He informed that on receipt of complaint from Syed Haider Ali r/o Gulistan-e-Johar Karachi alleging that one Faraz Zaidi Munshi of office of the Union Council No. 10, Pehalwan Goth Gulshah-e-Iqbal Town, Karachi, illegally demanded & accepted Rs 6,000/- for issuance of Birth Certificate of his children.
He further informed that a case FIR No. 13/2014 of PS ACE has been lodged against the accused.
EXCISE POLICE LAUNCHED THE CAMPAIGN AGAINST UNREGISTERED VEHICLES

KARACHI: Over the directives of Minister Excise Taxation and Narcotics Mukesh Kumar Chawla, road cheeking and campaign against unregistered vehicles have been launched through out Sindh province from May 19th by the Motor Registration Wing of Excise & Taxation Department.
The Spokesman of Excise Department has informed that 2467 vehicles have been checked in Karachi by the team headed by Deputy Director Motor Registration Wing Mr.Riaz Khoso. He further informed that 628 documents of vehicles have been seized which were found without documents and recovered an amount of Rs.315,291 alongwith penalties. The road checking campaign also took place in Hyderabad ,Sukur ,Larkana and Mirpur khas Divisions. Moreover the documents of 1034 vehicles have been impounded during road checking from Hyderabad to Mirpurkhas and recovered Rs,2,163,863 alongwith penalty.
Minister for Excise Mukesh Kumar Chawla appreciated the campaign undertaken by the Excise Department and vowed to continue the crackdown against un- registered vehicles.
SINDH GOVT. EXTENDS BAN ON INTERDISTRICT MOVEMENT OF WHEAT FOR 15 DAYS TILL JUNE 7,2014

KARACHI: The Home Department, Government of Sindh has under Section 144 of Cr.P.C extended the ban period for further 15 days till 7.6.2014 to restrict the inter-district movement of wheat except the supply of wheat to the floor mills in Karachi through valid permits issued by the authorized officers of Food Department from designated districts.
