LARKANA: Provincial Home and Prison Minister Suhail Anwer Siyal visited Central prison Larkana on Wednesday said that due to overcrowding more small prisons will be established in each district and 7 Jail capacities will be increased.
He further told where the security issues are concerned particularly hardcore prisoners among Taliban type prisoners’, the security will be beefed up at different prisons of province he told, for the reforms they will work along with NGOs for the capacity building and technical education and awareness.
Home and Prison Minister revealed that during the month of Ramzan execution on capital punishment was halted and the mercy appeals were in pending on the occasion. He said the facilities will be provided to the prisoners on humanity ground, they have provided water cooler, solar installation due to shortage of energy and the different complaints will be resolved of relatives of prisoners he told.
He said the complaint cell working for 24 hours at I.G Jail, assured of all possible issues resolution and the salaries of prison police will be increased accordingly.
Sohail Siyal said that there is tremendous decrease in the terrorist activities in Karachi and abduction. in order to coordination between Jail and Sindh police there is no further issues. He said Sindh government has provided 10 new mobiles and 30 motorbikes to district police administration Larkana for better policing and services.
