ISLAMABAD: Powerful tremors of earthquake were felt in Chitral and surrounding areas, local media reports said on Monday.
As per details, 5.2 magnitude tremors were also felt in other cities in northern part of country including Malakand and Sawat. The magnitude and epicenter of earthquake is yet to be calculated.
There are no reports of losses to life and property in incidents linked to the earthquake.
ALASKA (America): Strong earthquake of 7.1 intensity jolted different parts of Alaska, on Sunday.
As per details, an earthquake with initial magnitude of about 7.1 hit at about 1:30 a.m. in Pedro Bay, about 162 miles South west of Anchorage according the U.S. Geological Survey website.
“Based on all available data a destructive pacific-wide tsunami is based on all available data a destructive pacific-wide tsunami is not expected and there is no tsunami threat to Hawaii,” according to information from the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
Anchorage police say no major damage or injuries were reported since the earthquake, although power is out in several parts of the city.
