RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif on Thursday has signed death warrants of ten terrorists who were tried by military courts.
Inter-Services Public Relations reported that the terrorists that are now to be hanged were convicted in different cases over attacks on polio workers, Non-Government Organisations (NGO) and civilians.
Muhammad Shahid S/O Zaman Khan had killed two women polio workers and 11 persons associated with an NGO. Hussain, another terrorist had martyred Major Mustafa and Captain Waseem among several security personnel.
Another convict, Anwar Zaib slit throat of a police sub-inspector named Umar and fatally attacked many personnel of Frontier Corps (FC), the ISPR reported.
Ubaid, belonging to banned Tehrik-i-Taliban is to be hanged for killing innocent civilians while Ataullah, Mushtaq and Asghar, TTP’s Sher Alam and Shamas killed security personnel in different attacks.
The Chief of the Army Staff had signed black warrants of seven terrorists last month.
Military courts were established last year following an attack on Army Public School which claimed around 140 lives in December 2014.
