Zarb-e-Azb: Eight Uzbeks among 23 terrorists killed in NWA

RAWALPINDI: At least 23 terrorists including eight Uzbeks were killed last night in North Waziristan Agency.

According to a release of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), 15 terrorists were killed in Zartatangi mountain heights, East of Miranshah by Army gunship cobra helicopters last night when spotted. It was one of the main communication centers of terrorists.

In a separate sniper action, 8 Uzbeks were killed around Miranshah while planting IEDs on the road Miranshah-Mirali.

Meanwhile, cordoned off in areas housing terrorists in North Wazirstan Agency continued.

Continuous terrorists attempt to flee from area have been foiled.

Today evacuation of civil population from Miranshah and Ghulam Khan started. Check points have been established at various places where IDPs are being provided all administrative support including food items and medicine by security forces.

No of registration points at saidgai post enhanced to 20 i.e. 10 each for males and females for speedy and organized evacuation. IDP camp at Bannu has been established.

While other, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif visited Air Headquarters here on Thursday and called on Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt.

According to ISPR, progress of the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb was reviewed and matters of mutual interest were discussed.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif visited Air Headquarters here on Thursday and called on Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt.
