KARACHI: The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed the authorities concerned to work out for constitution of Petroleum Social Development Committees under the guidelines of Judiciary and ensure that collected funds from Petroleum recourses are properly utilized for the development of the backward and areas concerned. This he directed while presiding over a meeting regarding constitution of Petroleum Social Development Committees held at CM House today. The Advisor to Chief Minister for Finance Syed Murad Ali Shah, the Chief Secretary Sindh Mr. Sajjad Salim Hotyana, Secretary to CM Sindh Rai Sikandar, Secretary Finance Mr. Sohail Rajput attended the meeting. Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister Sindh said that there were two types of recoveries from the oil and gas / petroleum companies working here, which include Production Bonus and Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR). He said that these funds supposed to be utilized for the development of less developed areas with preference to those areas where such resources are available. He said that in order to distribute the funds in legal ways and utilize in transparent manner, the oversee committees comprising on public representatives of the area and the representatives from other stakeholders is essential. The chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that Sindh was rich with natural Recourses and Present Government wants to trickle down the benefit of the These recourses up to grassroots level. The chief Minister Sindh Said that his Government has earmarked Annual Development out lay of Rs: 165 billion and Rs: 20 billion for the Development Schemes of Districts for ADP-2013-2014 Besides, a big chunk of amount was also being utilized for the execution of the development Schemes Recommended by Public Representations at their Respective areas. The chief Minister directed the officers also to constitute District Development Committees not only to expedite the pace of development work but to ensure transparent utilization of development Fund. The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qasim Ali Shah Said That energy was lifeline for development and Prosperity of the people. He said that keeping in view its importance and Present Energy crises, The Sindh Government is striving hard to generate the energy from indigenous resources like, Coal. He said that big investment is being made on the Thar Coal power projects and directed the authorities concerned also to work out for formation of Evolution Committee for Thar coal power project for Examining and Evaluate its all reports, data and verifying the works being made by firms and submit their recommended for early notification.

KARACHI: The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has Appreciated the Contribution of Chinese investments in the development of energy sector Projects and said that huge Potential of the Primary Energy resources are waiting for their more investment in the Sindh Province. This he observed while delivering his Welcome address in the reception which he hosted in the honor of visiting Chinese delegates at local hotel this night. Addressing the reception the chief minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah Said That the SINDH is the land of opportunities and God has blessed it with 7th largest coal deposits of the world (175 Billion Tonnes of Coal) at Thar coal reserves, Largest Financial Capital Port city, Rich Wind Corridor and 60 % resources of oil & Gas fields of Pakistan. Chief Minsiter Sindh said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto laid foundation of Pak-China friendship, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Ex President of Pakistan strengthened this relationship. He added that during his visit at China in Oct, 2013 many Chinese companies showed their keen intrest in investment in Sindh. CM Sindh further said that Chinese investors and companies are actively engaged in development of energy sector projects mostly wind, hydropower and coal. He said that in order to attract the investors and having enabling environment, the robust infrastructures for Thar coal development including construction of Roads, Airport, Water Channel, Mine Waste Water Disposal System and Transmission network up to coal field has been made. He said that Sindh Energy Holding company (LTD) has also been established to Participate in Power Generation other Exploration and Production Activities. He said that Even Investors have the option to participate in the investment on Public Private Partnership Basis. He said that the biggest such joint Venture (JV) with 51 % Share Holding of Government of Sindh with M/S Engro is into operation. The chief Minister Sindh While expressing his thanks to Mr Zhang Yuqing, Vice Administrator, National Energy Administration (NEA) –China For supporting in Financing of SECMC, has added that it will not only to help Pakistan’s energy Sector but also develop most Backward areas of Sindh Province. Similarly he also lauded the Support of Sino Sindh Resources limited (SSRL) Project Block-I of Thar which aim to construct 6.5 million ton mine with 1320 MW Power plant and said that he was optimistic that these Projects will benefit both the investors and the people of Pakistan and it to Further Strengthen the Bonds of the Friendship between people of Both Counties. Media reports about measles outbreak at Keenjhar

KARACHI: The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has took serious notice of outbreak of media reports about the break of measles at the Kenjhar and its surrounding areas and Gastro at different areas of district Khairpur and Larkana, and directed the authorities of Health Department PPHI to take preventive measures and ensure.
Extensive health care facilities to ailing children, The Chief Minister Sindh also directed the divisional and district administrations to look into the matter and submit their reports about the cause’s steps for preventing core and cure facilities to the ailing people within two days. The Chief Minister directed the management concerned to ensure all the health facilities in the province functional and equipped with doctors, paramedics and medicines. He warned that negligence in providing medical help to the people would not been tolerated.

Karachi, April 16, 2014: The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed the Deputy Commissioners of all districts in Sindh to perform as Project Director (PD) and get the pace of development works expedited and ensure of these works within targeted period. He directed the development planners to conceive the schemes for the clean hygienic lavatories, safe drinking water facilities specially at public places of each Taluka and District. Head quarters (H.Q) cities/ towns to facilitate the people/ females/ children while they are visiting to these cities/ towns for their routine business of life.
The Chief Minister Sindh also directed the officers of Irrigation Department to start work for de-silting of its canals / distributaries, specially at district Badin and Thatta and complete the same before the coming monsoon season to avoid any flood related losses to the people and Government infrastructure as well. This he directed while presiding over the meeting to review the ongoing pace of development works at CM House last night.
The MNA Ms. Faryal Talpur, Additional Chief Secretary Planning & Development Wasim Ahmed, Secretary to CM Rai Sikandar, Secretary Works & Services Kazi Shahid Perviaz, ACS Education, Fazaullah Pechoho and other Secretaries of Provincial Department attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed and review the ongoing development schemes at District Badin and Tando Muhammad Khan in detail and got briefing from the officers concerned. The ACS Development Wasim Ahmed while briefing the meeting informed that there are 73 Provincial ADP 2013-14 schemes under execution with annual allocation of Rs. 2099.225 million in District Badin and 22 development scheme with Annual allocation of Rs. 251.855 in District Tando Muhammad Khan. Similarly 591.000 million so far have been allocated for the Badin District ADP 2013-14 and Rs. 260 million has been allocated for the schemes of Tando Muhammad Khan District ADP 2013-14. He said that work on the development schemes in these districts was in progress at satisfactory level.
The Chief Minister Sindh while addressing the meeting said that though lot has been made by executing department but still there is room of improvement and expediting the pace of development to get these schemes completed within stipulated period and avoid price escalation. He directed to the Deputy Commissioners of all districts in Sindh to play their role and perform as project director and get the development works completed within targeted period so that the purpose of this investment to facilitate common man be achieved.
The Chief Minister Sindh directed to the planners of development works to concentrate specially on the schemes which can improve the face value of the district Headquarter (H.Q) cites. He said that schemes of improvement the major arteries and road linking to other major cities would be encouraging in this regard. Besides introduction of the schemes of clean lavatories, safe drinking water and sun shades facilities at public places of each Taluka and District, H.Q city / towns to facilitate to poor people specially women folk and children, while they are no their visit at these cities, which was very much essential for socio-uplift.
While lauding the Provincial Irrigation Department for showing its good performance in execution of development works, the Chief Minister directed Secretary Irrigation to prepare contingency plan for de-silting of canal/distributaries and ensure that same be completed before the coming monsoon season. Mrs. Faryal Talpur while addressing the meeting directed the officers to form the people welfare oriented development schemes, like keeping provision of lavatories in the town/ cities in Sindh, promoting health, education facilities, health care centres up gradation of RHUs specially in backward areas like district Tharparkar.
Besides planning of tree plantation, major roads and transportation. She directed that each individual and organization must have to ensure visible deliveries to the common people. She asked that Deputy Commissioners must be pro-active, specially for completing development works and resolving the miseries of common people. She said that the doors of the Deputy Commissioners must be opened for all the people without any political discrimination.
