LARKANA: Woman with her two sons attempted suicide in the limits of Haidri Police Station here on Thursday.
Nusrat Solangi wife of Abdul Waheed Solangi resident of Luhar Colony Larkana along with her two sons consumed the poisonous substances in side her home in the jurisdiction of Haideri Police Station Larkana.
They were rushed to emergency ward of CMC Hospital Larkana and Shaikh Zaid Woman Hospital, where conditions of woman and her two sons are said to be serious.
The cause of incident was said to be allegedly torturing and domestic problems with her husband.
LARKANA: Anti Terrorist Court has awarded the life imprisonment sentence to two accused on proving the offense here on Thursday.
According to details; Anti Terrorist Court sentenced the life imprisonment and imposed fine Rs 0.1 million on each to Rafique Ahmed Brohi and Ghulam Sarwar on proving the offense.
It is pertinent to mention here that Rafique Ahmed Brohi and Ghulam Sarwar are resident of village Haji Khan Brohi district Shikarpur.
They were booked in kidnapping case of Waseen Tunio and in central Jail Larkana since 2011.
LARKANA: A large number of employees of different departments and members of All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) Larkana district boycotted their duties and observed the token hunger strike outside the Larkana Press Club for increasing the 100 percent salaries of government employees.
The protest was led by President APCA Larkana District Rafique Ahmed Jatoi, Sabir Soomro, Muhammad Peeral Dayo, Nasurrallah Jagirani, Liaqat Bhatti and others and called for the fulfillment of their demands.
Talking to media men they said that Federal government has ignored the government employees and deprived from their rights, 10 percent raise in salaries is not enough to curb the poverty and inflation, adding that rulers proved that they have no concern with problems of poor employees.
They said that due to poor policies of previous and present government poverty rate has surged, rates of commodities to be used for daily life have gone on peak and becoming out of reach from poor people, added that present\government has levied new taxes on daily use items and enhanced the tariff of electricity, gas and others which is anti masses policies.
They demanded of Federal government and Sindh government to resolve the genuine issues of government employees, increase 100 percent salaries and pensions, provide relief to common men.
