LARKANA: 105699 Vehicles among Car, Reksha, Motorcycles and others are registered with Excise Department M R Larkana, while, 20000 to 25000 Chengchi Reksha are unregistered in Larkana.
Tha target was set by Excise and Taxation Department Sindh regarding registration of vehicles has been achieved two month before by April 2014 which is great achievement, Acting Deputy Director Excise Motor Registration Mazhar Ali Bhutto told media men.
He informed that on the directives of Provincial Minister Excise and Taxation Department Sindh, Larkana has been provided the all facilities as much as are in Karachi, Car registration is now here in Larkana with all required data and does not need to go other places, Deputy Director said.
Acting Deputy Director said that Excise Taxation M R Larkana has recovered Rs 4 Crores of registration amount and target Rs 30339000 which was set by Head Office for financial year June 2014, which is great achievement and performance of Larkana.
Mazhar Bhutto told that 20000 to 25000 Chengchi Reksha are unregistered in Larkana which need to be registered. Talking about the Professional Tax, he apprised that 1300 people out of 1.5 million populated districts are paying the Professional Tax, majority of people are Tax evaders who will be brought into the tax net, in this regard, and action will be taken against the professionals who are reluctant to show their business data.
Larkana Shehri Itehad protests for safe recovery of abducted Liaqat Channa

LARKANA: Larkana Shehri Itehad took out the protest rally for recovery of abducted Liaqat Ali Channa NHA employee who is in clutches of dacoits, the rally led by Niaz Hussain Abro, Dr Nabi Dino Buledi, Raza Muhammad Chana, Liaqat Ali and others, the rally started from Qaim Shah Bukhari which marching through Bunder road, Jinah Bagh reached at Press Club where protesting activists of Larkana Shehri Itehad shouted the slogans in favor of their demands and called for the safe recovery of kidnapped man. Speaking on the occasion they said that local Police have failed to find the clue of kidnapped man, added that crime rate has increased in Sindh, people are insecure in their houses.
They said that still no any elected representative has reached at victim family to inquiry their matter, they demanded of high ups to take notice of matter for recovery of NHA employee Liaqat Ali Channa, other wise Larkana Shehri Itehad will continue their protest.
Lady Health Workers continued protest for regularization for their withheld salaries

LARKANA: Lady Health Workers (LHW) Larkana district who are contributing their great services for EPI program including Polio and Measles in various centers continued their protest for regularization of their services and against the DHO Larkana for depriving from salaries for 6 months without any reason, The protest was led by
President Larkana Lady Health Workers Association Shehar Bano Bhutto, Tahira Abro, Razia, Shahida and others , where the protesting LHW were holding the banners and placards inscribed slogans, shouted the slogans in favor of their demands and called for their rights.
Speakers addressing said that concerned Health authorities have failed to implement the Supreme Court order to regularize the services of Lady Health Worker for past two years, total 1100 LHW are
performing their services in Taluka Hospitals, RHC, BHU and other health centers since 1994 but they have been ignored by rulers.
They said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had introduced the LHW and given tittle of second army but present PPP government is reluctant to address the basic problems of poor Lady Health Workers.
They informed that LHW are receiving Salary Rs 7000 per month and 250 per day for Polio vaccination here as PPP government had announced to increase the TA from 250 to 500 but yet no action was taken.
Protesting Leaders alleged that concerned officials among DHO Larkana has misused the funds provided by foreign non government organizations for the health services but officials are not utilizing the budget on project properly to eradicate the diseases including Measles, Polio and others. Concerned authorities have been receiving the huge funds from the UNICIEF, WHO, and other non government organizations since long for national program to eradicate the diseases but due to inefficiency of concerned officials program is moving toward the failure.
They demanded of high ups to take notice of matter, regularize their services and release their withheld Salaries and other facilities otherwise they will continue their protest.
