SHIKARPUR: Armed group along with females attacked on police station Lakhi Gate Shikarpur on Sunday evening.
The attackers were succeeded to release their two persons named Hussain Bux son of Noor Muhammad Lohar Balouch and Sikandar son of Abul Khan Lohar Baloch arrested by police wanted in some criminal case on Sunday morning.
The armed attackers along with women entered the police station building and got the police material vandalized and while fighting with sticks and pistols got their arrested persons freed from the police lock-up and snatched a police rifle from one police constable Sundar Khan Shujrah. While during the clash between police and the attackers some of the women attackers became conscious who were sent to civil hospital shikarpur for medical first aid.
During firing of tear gas shells and committing arial firing five of the police men including SHO and ASI were wounded. However police succeeded in arresting of eight of the attackers identified as Muhammad Ramzan, Jagan, Arbelo, Abdul Nabi, Noor Hassan, Ghulam Nabi, Yousif and Habibullah.
According to police that two absconders named Hussain Bux and Sikandar both lohar balochs wanted to police in encountering and other crimes who were forcibly while firing on police and freely using of sticks got both the arrested criminals freed from the possession of police.
