Death toll reaches 12 in van ‘cylinder blast’ at Super-highway

HYDERABAD/JAMSHORO: At least 12 people were killed several among women wounded, when a passenger van caught fire after the vehicle’s CNG cylinder supposedly exploded here at Nooriabad Jokhio village late on Sunday.
Initial reports suggest that an 18-seater van with 11 passengers on-board was en-route to Karachi from Hyderabad, when caught fire near Nooriabad Jamshoro district.
DIG Motorway A D Khawaja told the media that three passengers have been evacuated from the burning vehicle successfully. He said that a fire tender was busy in extinguishing the blaze reached late.
Khawaja said all injured are women and about 5 people were burnt to death and several injured in a Van cylinder blast at Nooriabad on late Sunday. unfortunate van on its way to Hyderabad from Karachi, where over tunred and vehicle catch fire.

The rescue services and ambulances have been reached for help and at the last moment, no any fire tender have also been reached in time told the witnesses on the spot.
