US-based Sufi Qawwali Band Fanna-Fi-Allah travels Sindh

LARKANA:
US-based Sufi Qawwali Band Fanna-Fi-Allah travelling different parts of Pakistan visited the Larkana and performed Sufi Qawwali in Urdu language here at ZABIST Larkana Campus on Friday night.
The objective of arranging Sufi program for building bridge through music”. They performed in a way that the people could not help clapping. The English qawwalis recited the verses relating to Sufism and attracted the participants including students, teachers and officers.
They told media that “It is a great honor for us to be performing “We perform internationally spreading the message of peace and love among the people. This is how we have also been helping the people in America gain a better understanding of Islam and also Sufism,” they added.
fanna Fi Allah is a Sufi Qawali Party, based in the United States traveling through Pakistan in the a Peace and Qawwali Pakistan 2014 tour led by Tahir Faridi Qawwali (Geogffery Samuel Dennisa Lyons party consists of members Aminah Chishti, Jessica Lynn Ripper on Tabila Jahangir Baba Charles David Spinner, Laali Qalandar Devananda Rubin Ali Shan, Andre Vincent Preece and Salim Chisti Pascal Hudson, they are students and devotees of the Musical art Qawwali first introduced by Hazrat Amir Khusro Dehlavi, in the spirit of traditional Qawwali their music embodies the themes of peace harmony and coexistence.
The band has visited Pakistan on numerous occasion to study with Qawwal master Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and for performances at shrines of Sindh and Punjab, their goal is to build bridge between Pakistani and American communities through musical exchange, their ? Aquasafe and Chishtiyah Ribbat Sufi Studies Center.
On the occasion President Press Club S Iqbal Babu, General Secretary Ghulam Murtaza Kalhoro, officials of ZABIST Larkana Campus MB Soomro, Abdul Razaq Soomro. Large number of students, teachers and other notable citizens attended the program.

According to details: on tip off, huge Police contingent Police led by In charge SSP Larkana Kamran Nawaz raided at closed garage near old bus stand and after broken the locks found white color corolla without number plate allegedly used in murder of JUI F, Police shifted the car to SSP office for further investigation, Police sources informed that car had been brought in garage to change its color, on secret information Police have captured which is good development in probe into the assassination of slain JUI F General Secretary and former Senator Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro, Police will verify from Motor and Vehicle Excise Department to ascertain its owner name.

Two accused escaped from court, court issued NBW, seized property of granters on Saturday.
According to detail two notorious criminal Maushooq Ali and Hussain Bux escaped from court of 1st additional session judge Khairpur Naveed Hussain Kolachi during hearing after submitted bail applications, the court issued non bailable warrants against the garreteer Mian Abdul Shakoor Ujjan brother of Sajjad e Nasheen Darghah Chani Fakeer while ordered to seized the property of other guarantied Himat Ali Phulpoto of Danwro village Khairpur.
The court also issued non bailabe warrants against former SHO Faiz Guj police station Piyas Ali Soalngi and PCs Ahmed Ali an Amjad Chang.
They were not appearing before the court since long time in narcotic court so court take action against them and directed the police to arrest them and produce before the court along with hand cuffs.

Two accused of double murder get four times life imprisnoment and Rs 0.5 million fine by ATC Khairpur on Saturday.
According to detail special for anti terrorist court (ATC) Khairpur Kaousar Ali Bukhari announced the judgment of double murders case and on proved the murders convicted four times life imprisinoment to two accused Khan Muhammad Narejo and Maushooq Ali Narejo. The court also imposed fine of Rs.0.5 million upon them and default the payment of fine the accused would under go five-five years more in jail.
They accused were alleged that they attacked on the Utaq of Ali Gohar Khuhro near Phullo Sial of taluka Gambat and fired with rocket lauchers and sophisticated weapons resulted two people Zamir Ahmed Khuhro nd Hajjo Joodh were killed on November-22, 2009.
The convicted accused are also accompanied of notorious criminal Nazroo Narejo.

Khairpur people held the decision of election tribunal in favour of PML-N leader Sayed Ghous Ali shah.
Talking to this correspondent by cell phone on saturday Sayed Ghous Ali Shah told that it has the succeed of people and election tribunals decision shows that tribunal is independent. He said that his opponent was succeeded and elected MNA from NA-215 by rigging and such was proved by election tribunal.
Sayed Ghous Ali shah told that he always worked in interest of state as well masses so he has own vote bank while others have no nay own vote banks.

An Open Defense of PhD was held at the Department of Sindhi, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpuron saturday.
Mr. Badaruddin Dhamraho, PhD Research Scholar under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Adal Soomro delivered his open defense on the topic”The Educational Services of Dr. Memon Abdul Majeed Sindhi and Its Research Overview.” While Prof. Dr. Miandad Zardari, Acting Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur presided over the open defense seminar.
Dr. Zardari said the services of Dr. Memon are laudable in the field of Sindhi literature. He said, Dr. Memon was the critic and literary legend.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Yousuf Khsuhk, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences & Arts said the research work of scholar is up to mark and will pave the way for new researchers in the field of Sindhi literature. He appreciated the initiatives taken by Dr. Parveen Shah, Vice Chancellor for the promotion of research culture.
Prof. Dr. Adal Soomro said the work of Dr. Memon is an asset of the nation. Mr. Dhamraho has presented his research work according to research parameters.
Prof. Ayaz Gul, Incharge, Department of Sindhi said the Department is rendering teaching and research simultaneously. The research work of the scholar is a good initiative.
Badaruddin Dhamraho said Dr. Memon was a good teacher and critic, in year 1961 he practically involved himself in literary work. He played a dynamic role in literary movements especially in Sindhi Adbi Sangat. Dr. Memon established Sindhi Adbi Academy and published 14 books personality. Mr. Dhamraho said Dr. Memon established Latif Adbi Academy and Sindhi Adbi Society at Sukkur.
Dr. Memon wrote 6 books on the life of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (R.A). He was the devotee of Hazrat Sachal Sarmast and Bedal Bekas. He was the expert of linguistics and well versed from history. He wrote his famous book “Sindh Sayahan Ji Nazar Mein.” Mr. Dhamraho revealed that there are 518 research papers on his credit.
Prof. Dr. Anwar Figar Hakro, Chairman, Department of Sindhi, University of Sindh, Jamshoro and Prof. Dr. Noor Afroze Khuwaja, Former Dean, Faculty of Arts, University of Sindh Jamshoro conducted the viva-voce examination of scholar. SINDH ABADGAR BOARD TO BLOCK HIGHWAYS TO PROTEST LOWERING DOWN OF SUGARCANE PRICE

Terming the lowering down of purchase price of sugarcane by Sindh government as anti Sindh and anti agriculture, Sindh Abadgar board has announced to blocked national highway by staging sit in on Tuesday and Wednesday with an appeal to growers of Sindh to stop harvest and supply of sugarcane to sugar mills. This was decided in a meeting of Sindh Abadgar Board which was held here at SAB office which was presided by Abdul Majid Nizamani president of board and attended by Dr.Zulfiqar Yousfani, Anwer Bachani,chairman Farmers Organization Javed Junejo and others. After meeting the president and members of SAB held press conference at Hyderabad press club and told that Sindh contributes 21.6 % in country’s agriculture. Nizamani said there were 37 sugar mills in Sindh and that this year 400 million maunds of sugarcane was expected. Sugar mills are working here since 1960 and each year the crushing season starts from October but due to inefficiency of government and monopoly of sugar mill owners the mills have never started on time. He said for this season government had fixed price of sugarcane at Rs.182 but turned back on its own decision and revised the rate at Rs.155 per 40 kilograms. He said this decision of Sindh government was not only anti agriculture but also anti Sindh which cannot be accepted and the growers have already launched protest movement. He announced that SAB would stage dharna across Sindh on all highways and would block national highway as mark of protest of against decision of Sindh government to lower down price of sugarcane. He warned that if the government continued discrimination against growers then they would stop cultivating sugarcane crop and sugar mills machinery will then be sold at Kabari rate.

Shaikh in his welcome address expressed that as we are here to discuss Paradigm shift in Medicine, we need newer medical technologies for our country as 80% population depends on traditional Medicine approach for primary health care. The Paradigm Shift in Medicine makes a critical tool for increasing overall health care delivery system in the country.
He further added that Medicine is the sum total of knowledge, skills and practices based on theories, beliefs and experiences indigenous to different cultures that are used to maintain health, as well as to prevent, diagnose improve or treat physical and mental illnesses. By introducing newer theories, techniques and procedures we will be able to improve standard of Health Care in this region.
The Guest of Honor Prof. Dr. Mansoor Ahmad Kundi, Executive Director Higher Education Commission of Pakistan expressed that during this Conference the participants will be able to deliberate carefully and have a fruitful discussion, enhance collaboration and coordination, share knowledge and lessons learned and provide inputs for a comprehensive lectures and presentations from various speakers.
