Two gang war accused among four killed in shootout with police

KARACHI: Four suspects including two Lyari gang war accused were killed during police action in different areas of Karachi.

According to the police, on tip-off, 100-member squad conducted a raid in the Baghdadi and Kalri area of Lyari where exchange of fire took place and two gang war accused were killed.

SSP City Fida Hussain said the accused killed in shootout belong to Uzair Baloch group and were involved in grenade attack at Pakistan People’s Party camp besides extortion and target killings.

Separately, two suspects injured in exchange of fire with police at Northern Bypass on Thursday evening, succumbed to wounds at hospital.

Police seized arms, grenade and a truck loaded with several motorbikes from their custody.

Meanwhile, police recovered a body from Garden area and shifted it to hospital for legal formalities.
