HYDERABAD: Expressing grave concern on law and order situation and increase in robberies and thefts in Hyderabad, senior vice president of Hyderabad chamber of commerce and industry Turab Ali Khwaja has asked police to take measures for protection of lives and properties of citizens. Turab Ali Khwaja took exception and condemned the incident of robbery in house of former vice president of HCCI Haji Muhammad Rafiq Madraswala and demanded arrest of robbers and also to recover the looted property including cash and prize bonds. He said business community was not safe at their homes and police seems helpless before the criminals. He said dozens of incidents of theft and robberies have become order of day. He said due to the crime incidents in industrial areas industrialists as well factory workers were feeling unsafe with no new industry causing increase in unemployment. He demanded installation of CCTVs in congested commercial centers and industrial areas with setting up police pickets.
