Troops to be deployed in Sindh areas as part of Muharram security

HYDERABAD: DIG Hyderabad Sanaullah Abbasi has said that the Pakistan army troops have been called in as part of security arrangements for Muharram in Kotrim Dadu and Mehar.

Speaking to Geo News on Friday, he said that terrorists might shift to these areas due to ongoing military operation in North Waziristan. He said though there were no evidence regarding presence of al-Qaeda , armed and suicide attacks might take place.

The DIG said police had arrested 20 suspects who had been interrogated.
