ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Pervez Rasheed Sunday announced that Pakistan would observe Yaum-e-Falasteen (Palestine Day) on August 17 to show solidarity with the people of Gaza enduring the atrocities of Israel.
Addressing ‘Labaik Qibla Awwal March’ held under the auspices of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) here, Pervez Rasheed said the observing of Yaum-e-Palestine was suggested by JI Ameer Sirajul Haq.
Pervez Rasheed said some people even want to dismember Pakistan.
JI Ameer Sirajul Haq, in his speech, called upon the leadership of Muslim world to join hands and preserve their honor over the barbarism being unleashed on the innocent people of Gaza.
The JI Ameer said he had appealed the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to convene a meeting over the issue of Gaza.
