LARKANA: Vice Chancellor Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) Professor Ghulam Asghar Chana said that University has received 100 research papers among 50 SMBBMU on different diseases from all over the country including UAE, Thailand for upcoming International Symposium to be started from 19 to 21 December 2014 “Theme Innovation and Advancement in Health Science ” at CMC Larkana, he said this while addressing the press briefing at syndicate hall on Thursday.
He said that 12 workshops on interpretation of ECG, ERCP, intera Uterine Insemination and others will be arranged in symposium, over 1000 general practitioners among 60 percent of local will participate in three days symposium and get benefit from the modern research and new methods in medical field.
VC SMBBMU told that objective behind the organizing International Symposium is to enhance the knowledge of faculty and providing know to how to local doctors, renowned scholars and medical fraternity is expected to participate, Symposium will be international standards, he said.
Professor Ghulam Asghar Chana told that issue of Bibi Asifa Dental College Larkana registration with PMDC has been resolved, all the required academic facilities were completed and very soon college will find formal recognition letter from PMDC.
To question about the absence of Professors and Consultants in different units of CMC Hospital Larkana, he said that he will hold meeting with hospital administration ensure the availability of Professors and Consultants in their wards, OPD and Emergency ward.
He told that construction work of SMBBMU building is in progress, 500 beded modern hospital will be established which will deal with ultra modern medical specialties. we will spare no effort, SMBBMU will be modern university of world.

LARKANA: Live stock department Larkana organized a one day Seminar on “more production of Milk and Meat with modern methods and role of Live stock department” here at office of Deputy Director Larkana on Thursday.
The chief guest of program was Deputy Commissioner Larkana Ghanwar Ali Leghari, speakers among DC Ghanwar Ali Leghari, Deputy Director Dr Aijaz Ali Khokhar, Dr Hizbullah Bhutto, Dr Mukhtia Ali Khokhar, Dr Abdul Jabbar and others addressing on the occasion said that live stock is contributing its services in national economy, they said that objective of arranging the seminar was to create awareness among the masses regarding the diseases threatening the lives of animals and others.
They informed that 26 animal hospitals in Larkana are providing the services with 13 vet nary Doctors and 42 para Vetnary staff which are insufficient to face 1.1 million livestock population in Larkana district.
They said that performance of Livestock department Larkana is growing despite of shortage of staff, production of milk and meat has been increased 20 to 35 percent, besides growth in production of poultry is in Larkana.

KHAIRPUR: Tortured dead body found from Agri- farm near Kumb on Thursday.
According to detail a dead body was found from Agri- farm near Wada Bhatiyoon village in the jurisdiction of Kumb police station, the was tortured to death, the villagers informed Kumb police. Police brought body to taluka hospital where body identified as Atta Muhammad Shaikh-50 who was missing since few days. Police lodged case and is investigating.

HDERABAD: Dr. Qadir Magsi chairman of Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party has said his party was striving to pull small nations out of slavery they were undergoing since creation of Pakistan to make country a real federation where all nations can live with honor and dignity.
He said we want that one day a son of peasant from Sindh can also be army chief but for that the big brother shall have to ward off shortsightedness.
He said Sindh has received mutilated bodies of its 46 young sons and demanded the chain of kidnapping Sindhi youth, torturing them to death and them throwing dead bodies be stopped.
He was addressing the big public meeting in front of press club here Thursday at end of 3 days hunger strike of his party observed against mutilated bodies of Sindhi youth.
He said it was pressure of his party protest that on last day Sindh chief minister has broke his silence and has said he would approach center over duming dead bodies.
He deplored that Sindh assembly which represents feelings of 5 crore Sindhis has passed bill to name universities in name of Altaf whom he termed as ring leader of terrorists.
He said they won’t accept this nor would they allow Riaz Malik to build colonies for people brought from other provinces or countries.
Terming PPP leader and former president Asif Zardari as traitor of Sinsh,Magsi said that in 2008 he put Sindhi cap symbol of honor of Sindh over head of Farooq Sattar now he was again repeating same to put his turban on head of Riaz Malik which means Zardari was not able for honor. If Zardari, Altaf and Riaz Malik tried to tarnish identity of Sindh STP would offer resistance.
Talking about his party’s 3 days hunger strike he said he knows that the state may not stop dumping bodies of our youth but he wanted to console the families of martyrs that they were not alone we were with them; to awae the conscience of world human rights bodies to the blatant violation of human rights by Pakistan state organs; to tell the prime minister, chief minister and others enjoying power that protection of life was also right of common citizen and being in power they are responsible towards citizens rights.
They must provide protection of live to people. Then he said they do not desire to beg pardon from the authorities to spare lives of their youth but warn them that if this did not stop it was to cause anarchy that could destroy whole society.
Earlier Qamar Bhatti chairman of Sindh Qaumparsat party, Naz Sanai, writer intellectual, Hamid Memon, Hyder Mallah and Altaf Jeskani also addressed public meeting.
They condemned the mutilated bodies of Sindhi youth as also what they termed criminal silence of Sindh government over the issue.
COSTUME RAID- ILLEGAL LUGGAGE RECOVERED.

SHIKARPUR: Larkana Division Costume Officials raided on Trains which were going from Quetta to Lahore at Shikarpur Railway Station here on Wednesday late night.
According to reports Larkana Division Costume Officer Ghulam Shabir Phulpoto with other officials was raided on Jaffar express and Akbar Badshah express which were going from Quetta to Lahore at Shikarpur railway station and recovered huge quantity of Blankets, Sports motorcycle and other valuables which is said to be worth millions of rupees.
Source said that luggage was loaded from Quetta no any arrest was reported till this news was flashed.

BADIN: Bureaucrats of Badin staged rally against the corruption to mark international day of anti corruption & public was made surprised.
In the details, bureaucrats of Badin district have organized a rally against the corruption in Badin to mark international day of anti corruption. Revenue Department, which is infamous of the corrupt department of Badin, paid lead role of the rally.
The rally was taken place from Deputy Commissioner Office Badin & concluded at Badin Press Club. The people of Badin were made surprised to see the representative of the corrupt departments in the rally.
The rally was participated by various departments & CSOs including Local Govt, Anti corruption, Excise Works & Services, irrigation & others departments.
When police & others Departments did not seemed as participants of the rally. On the occasion, Abdul Qadir Junejo, ADC-I, Ahmed Naik, AC Badin, Abdul Qadir Chandio, Sayed Qamar Zaman Shah, Abdul Majeed Mallah, Vice president of Badin Press Club were addressed the participants of rally. They said that corruption has made society worsen & Society will never develop if the corruption occurred.
It shout be mentioned that a month earlier, Former Home Minister Sindh, Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Mirza has staged protest & sit against the corruption of various department in Badin district Sindh.

BADIN: Pakistan Fisher Folk Forum (PFF) has organized a rally on the occasion of International day of Human Rights. The workers of PFF have distributed the pamphlets regarding the awareness of the human rights in district Badin.
While addressing the participants of rally, Mithan Mallah said that it is mentioned in international rule that no any people would be made slave & kept confined.
Moreover, he said that PFF always fight for the achievement of the human rights & carries continue always same for rights of common people. While addressing, Muhammad Yaseen Tunio said that everyone is free to go anywhere according to international rule & law & entertain his/her life within the boundaries of local law.

STP holds token hunger strike & protest in Badin

BADIN: Token hunger strike & protest was held by social & political parties in the lead of Tarki Passand Party Badin.
According to a detail, on the call of Tarki Passand Party Badin, three days token hunger strike was held in-front of Badin press Club.
The hunger strike was participated by Ali Ahmed Jokhio, Pakistan Muslim League (N), Sagar Sheedi, Functional league, Shahnawaz Siyal, STP & others hundreds participants.
While addressing the protestors of hunger strike, representative of various parties said that the killing of the innocent persons should be dealt as terrorism & stop on immediate basis.
They demanded from higher authorities to release the Kamlesh & Ruhal Leghari soon as possible, otherwise the protest will be made widen.

KHAIRPUR: Two kidnappers convicted life imprisonment and fine of 70000/ each by ATC Khairpur on Thursday.
According to detail the special for anti terrorist court (ATC) Khairpur Kausar Ali Bukhari announced the judgment of kidnapped case and on proved the case awarded life imprisonment and imposed fine of Rs. 70000/= each to accused Sadam Khorkhani and Hubdar Chano and orders to send them in jail custody.
They were alleged that they along with others kidnapped a villager Sayed ghulam Murtaza Shah from Piryaloi city on 6 October, 2013 at gun point and after encounter with police released him while police was arrested them along with two K.K and big quantity of cartidiges from their possession.
