Supermodel has to miss flight due to late arrival

LAHORE – Supermodel Ayyan Ali has once again hit headlines in the media as she arrived late at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore to board a Karachi-bound flight, a private TV channel reported.

The staff of the Pakistan International Airlines denied her boarding a flight, as the plane was set to take off and the supermodel was much late, the channel reported. After refusal, she indulged in argument with the airport and airline staff for some time.

Amid the bickering, the plane left for Karachi and Ayyan could only have a sight of the plane flying high in the sky. Recently, Ayyan was criticised on social media for delivering lectures at the University of Karachi at a time when she was facing charges of money laundering.

On March 14, the supermodel was arrested at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Islamabad on charges of money laundering after being caught by customs officials with over half a million dollars. She was released from the jail after 122 days on bail.
