MUMBAI: The ultimate Bollywood Queen, Sridevi who has always impressed on the silver screen is all set to star in hubby Boney Kapoor’s next film.
The film is a women-centric one and Boney will be producing it. A report in Mumbai Mirror quoted a source, “The story had been written with Sridevi in mind. Boney loved it and immediately came on board.”
There were rumors that suggested Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara was roped in to play Sridevi’s daughter, but Boney Kapoor quashed them. “Akshara is not in the film. Yes, it is a woman-centric drama, but not a remake of any film. It is not titled Mother,” Boney told Mirror.
This is after Judaai (1997) that Sridevi will be starring in her husband’s family production house. Judaai was produced by her father-in-law, Surinder Kapoor.
The film in question will be helmed by debutante director Ravi Udyawar, a popular ad filmmaker who has scripted the film too.
The veteran actress was last seen in Gauri Shinde’s English Vinglish that won so many hearts.
