KARACHI/LARKANA: The Sindh government has finally decided to fill the home ministry by appointing provincial lawmaker Sohail Anwar Khan Siyal to the long-vacant slot.
The ruling Pakistan People’s Party’s leadership has decided the give Siyal, a 40-year-old lawmaker from Larkana, a key portfolio.
Siyal was elected as a member of the Sindh Assembly from the PS-35 LARKANA-I seat on 2014 by-elections during the Benazir Bhutto anniversary at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto, where the Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari had raised his hands and asked the party and the people of Larkana to vote him.
Sources said that the lawmaker will be handed the portfolio at an oath-taking ceremony at 5:30PM today at the Governor House.
Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah currently also holds the provincial home ministry portfolio.
Meanwhile, advisor to Chief Minister (CM) Murtaza Wahab has been made provincial minister.
