LARKANA: Renowned Neurologist of Chandka Medical College of Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) Larkana Dr Ibrahim Allam Sidiqi tendered his resignation from Head of Department (HOD) during the meeting with Vice Chancellor here on Friday.
In a press statement issued by Media Coordinator SMBBMU Larkana Dr Abdul Waheed Memon told that Vice Chancellor SMBBMU Prof. Ghulam Asghar Channa was presiding over a high level meeting National guests with all Head of Department of Chandka Medical College of SMBBMU Larkana to review the development of university and evolve group action plan as envisaged by HEC and others here at his secretariat when few Doctors started to talk about their personal issues.
They were told to bring the matter to proper forum, as this meeting is meant for developmental issues and funding. They went on raising voice and repeatedly threatened to resign and one Dr. Alam Ibrahim Siddiqui threw his resignation on the table in front of Vice Chancellor SMBBMU which shows all was pre-planned to disturb the meeting and disrepute the Institute.
Dr. Badaruddin Junejo alongwith Dr. Alam wanted their seats of Professor to be announced within recently published advertisement which had been given as to ward of possible de-recognition of CMC and GMMMC by PM&DC, which had repeatedly warned to rectify the shortage of Faculty. Although Vice Chancellor told them, that their seats would be announced after completion of already announced recruitments, but they went on with their tirade, at the cost of decorum of meeting and Office of the Vice Chancellor SMBBMU Larkana.
Necessary action as per Act of SMBBMU and services code would take its course within due time. As that deficit Faculty members are to be appointed in the 1st phase whose courses are conducting for undergraduate level. In the 2nd phase all the Post-Graduate Faculty will be announced by the University (SMBBMU Larkana).
However during the Finance & Planning Committee meeting held in collaboration with financial experts from Higher Education Commission Islamabad, it was advised to avoid creation of new posts.
Despite financial constraints posts of Professor in the following Departments have been created in the 23rd syndicate meeting one post of Professor of Psychiatry, one post of Professor of Neurology, one post of Professor of Radiology, One post of Professor of Pulmonology, It was again assured by Vice Chancellor that these posts will be announced after approval from Finance & Planning Committee.
Advertisement is to address shortage in Teaching Faculty of Undergraduate levels, as constitutional Petition is also filed in Sindh High Court by student Asif Chandio. It was regretted that indiscipline shown by them does not suite to Senior Faculty members.
Khursheed Shah condoled demise of Izhar Amrohvi

He said that Izhar Amrohvi had a very long affiliation with the leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party and served the cause of the party with the core if his heart. Starting from Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto up to the present leadership he showed un faltered commitment for the party and served the cause and masses untiringly, he added.

MD NSUSC Majeed Pthan vows to resolving civic problems being faced by people

SUKKUR: Managing Director (MD) North Sindh Urban Services Corporation (NSUSC), Abdul Majeed Pathan has said on Wednesday said that NSUSC provides citizens with municipal facilities therefore all municipal facilities including cleanliness around the worship places of different religions will be provided on preferential basis including removal of garbage.
This he said while talking with the delegation of Sukkur Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SCCI) on led by its President Muhammad Deen in his office here.
The delegation congratulated the MD NSUSC for taking over the charge and pointed out municipal problems being faced around their places of worship.
On this occasion, MD NSUSC further said that the citizens from Sukkur including NSUSC staff are playing their vital role in the development of the city.
All possible measures would be taken to fulfill the residential and other requirements of NSUSC employees were also provided with every possible facility on religious events, he added.
On the occasion, he directed the NSUSC officials to concentrate on cleanliness of drains, repairing of their walls and drainage works so that citizens would not have to face inconvenience.
SCCI delegation thanked newly appointed MD NSUSC for issuing instructions to NSUSC officials for resolving the civic problems being faced by the area people.

LARKANA: students of different government and private schools and colleges, representatives of civil society, religious and political organizations and Journalist community gathered in front of Larkana Press Club against the martyrdom of innocent school children in Peshawar carnage on the occasion participants paid glowing tribute to martyred students and demanded of government to arrest involved culprits and award them exemplary punishment here on Wednesday.
The students of Qaud e Awam Public School, Qaid e Awam Engineering University College, Zubaida Decent School Larkana, Indus School, The Educator School, , APCA Population Welfare Department, Mathini Women Development Organization, The Humanism Organization, Jamat e Islami and others took out the rally to express solidarity with victim families , on the occasion protestors were holding the banners and placards inscribed with slogans demanding the arrest of involved mastermind .
Meanwhile Larkana Press Club arranged a condolence reference by torching the candles outside the premises of Press Club to pay rich tribute to martyred students in Peshawar tragedy and mourn the incident.

Larkana Olympic Sports Committee held at Khuhro Sports Complex

LARKANA: The concluding ceremony of 2nd Junior Game organizing by Larkana Olympic Sports Committee was held at Khuhro Sports Complex with simplicity here on Wednesday.
3000 students of different private schools participated in different games including Cricket, Athletic, Badminton, Wali ball, traditional game Wanjhwati and others, in over all competition Global School secured first position by wining total 39 medals among 18 gold medals, 14 silver, 7 browns, Sambara School with second position getting 16 gold medals, 9 Silver and 4 browns and New Mashal School could bag 5 gold, 3 silver and 6 browns.
Chief guest on the occasion was DIG Larkana Sain Rakhio Mirani along with President Larkana Olympic Sports Committee distributed the winner trophies and runners trophies and shields among the teams and players.
Hundreds students and other participants observed one minute silence to pay tribute to martyred students of Peshawar and offered joint pray for peace of departed souls.

The protest rally was participated by hundreds of small growers of Kadhan. Rally tool place from Badin Bus stop & concluded at Press Club Kadhan. While addressing the protestors’ representatives of growers & farmers including Yousif Bajeer, Ishaque Bajeer, Dr. Qamar Zaman, Muhammad Hassan Brohi, Ghulam Mustafa Jamali & others said that rates of agricultural productions are being made low without any reason & small growers are being compelled to live hand & mouth.

Thousands students of various privates & Govt schools including National School & College Badin, Rahim Public School & College Badin, Zain Public School & College Badin, Govt High School Badin, Govt girls High School Badin, Shah Latif Public School Badin & Progressive Public School Badin, Roshan Tara School Badin & others have offered Fateha for the departed innocent souls of Peshawar & called on the condolence programs.
Others hand, Qumi Awami Tahreek & Motor Cycle Dealer Association Badin staged protest in-front of Badin Press Club against terrorism & killing of innocent children of school of Peshawar. SHIKARPUR: The condolence meetings were held separately in shikarpur by various political, religious parties, social welfare organizations, Nationalists groups, District Bar association and city associations to express condolence with the aggrieved families of the students of Army Public School Peshawar martyred by some group of terrorists on last Tuesday in Peshawar.
In the condolence meetings held by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal, Jamaat-e-Islami, MQM Shikarpur, PPPP, District Bar Association, Sunney Tahreek, Masjid School Teachers Association (MATA) Government secondary teachers Association (GSTA), Shikarpur Bachayo Tahreek, Bhittai Association, Soomra Association, Sheikh community, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Jamiat Tulba-e-Islam (JTI) Jeay Sindh Quami Mahaz (JSQM) Jeay Sindh Mahaz (JSM) and other Community Organizations the participants strongly condemned the incident of assassination of the students of Army Public School Peshawar and a expressed their great sorrow and grief over this incident.
The participants also prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace in heaven and grant the patience to the bereaved families to bear the loss of their beloved sons.
On the occasion the Ghaibana Nimaz-e-Janaza of the martyred students were offered at various places at Government High School No.2 ground, Lakhi Gate Clock Tower Chowk, District Judiciary complex ground, Punj Gule Road and other places.
The participants have demanded of Pakistan Government to ensure the protection of the people and other educational institutions, religious and public places in order to enable the Pakistanis to live their lives in peaceful minor without any threat of life.
