ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said the sit-ins did obstruct progress of the country but the government is committed to continuing its journey towards economic development of Pakistan.
Talking to MNAs Mehmood Bashir Wark, Muhammad Daha and Sajid Mehdi, who called on him separately at PM House, the Premier said he enjoys mandate of the people of Pakistan and he would continue to serve the country and the nation.
“The system will be purged of the shortcomings, the weaknesses will be overcome and the people’s problems will be resolved on priority basis,” the PM vowed.
He said the government was working on war-footing to resolve the issue of loadshedding and energy crisis in the country.
PM Nawaz said effective measures were being adopted to ensure provision of incentives to the farmers, which will soon be made public.
