ISLAMABAD: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Amir, Sirajul Haq on Wednesday appealed to the National Assembly Speaker not to accept the resignation tendered by the members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Talking to media persons here, the JI chief feared that acceptance of resignation would only aggravate the political crisis.
He said he would request Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan to reconsider his decision of going ahead with the option of resignations.
The JI Amir said the leadership of the protesting parties had adopted the course of public rallies, calling it a welcome development.
Sirajul Haq, however, demanded of all the political parties to respect the democratic process.
