LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Siraj ul Haq on Monday warned political parties of the imposition of martial law due to prevailing politicial situation.
While speaking to the media in Lahore, he said that martial law might be imposed in Pakistan if political parties did not learn lessons of the past.
Pakistan’s problems would only increase if the situation ever came to that point, he said. “There is still time…the govt and PTI must return to dialogue,” he said.
He said that situation was also similar in 1977.
Haq lamented that Chief Election Commissioner was also appointed on Supreme Court’s pressure.
