Sindh govt urges MQM to review its call for Monday strike

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon on Sunday urged the Muttahida Qaumi Movement has announced to extend protest to Monday, to review its decision of strike.

“Accepting MQM’s demands the government has suspended an investigation officer and opened a judicial investigation,” he said. He added now that all MQM demands were met, it should review it’s call for Monday strike.

Talking to media outside the Chief Minister House, he said that Qaim Ali Shah was in constant contact with MQM leaders through the night and talked to Sindh governor eight to ten times.

Reacting over Altaf Hussain’s deadline of 15 minutes, he said it was not appropriate. Memon said that giving free hand to Rangers and police didn’t mean victimization of anyone.
