Sindh govt. asked to explain 45 children’s measles deaths

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC)on Tuesday took suo moto notice of the death of children in Thatta and Sajawal due to measles.

In a letter to SHC, Zulfiqar Langa advocate drew the attention of the court to as many 45 deaths of children from the preventable measles disease in Thatta and Sajawal. The letter warned if preventive measures were not taken soon the epidemic might engulf the entire Sindh province.

SHC Chief Justice transforming this letter into a constitutional petition taking suo moto notice has called for a reply from the Sindh government.
