KARACHI: The Sindh Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah lashed out at the PML-N government and failures of the energy projects, on Sunday.
According to the details, Murad Ali Shah slapped the federal government with a series of allegations. His main subject of criticism was Nandipur power project.
He said that, the Nawaz govt said they would end the energy crisis in six months across the country, completed half of it tenure but hasn’t done anythings to curb the load shedding.
Minister said that Nandipur is the most expensive project in the world. He claimed the tariff of the project would be Rs 35 per unit. He alleged PML-N government of commissioning expensive projects and taking kickbacks.
Minister further added that those who said Sindh as corrupt should also see this project (Nadipur power Project).
Prime Minister to break the Constitution for not calling Economic Co-ordination Committee meeting, he added.
Sindh Finance Minister said that Council of Common Interest (CCI) is a Constitutional Forum, the meeting of which is necessary to be held in 90 days, but only one meeting was held since 2013.
Sindh Minister for Finance, Murad Ali Shah Sunday said the incumbent government and rulers only seem interested in launching high-cost projects, claiming the federal government’s policies are proving detrimental for Sindh.
Addressing a press conference here, Murad Ali Shah said there is rampant corruption today but the same is invisible to the eyes of investigation authorities.
He claimed that financial hurdles are being created for the local producers of electricity.
The provincial minister said although solar panels have been installed in Sindh, the province still continues to remain in darkness. “If Sindh remained in darkness, the whole country would plunge into darkness,” he warned.
