Simple blossoms mark George Michael’s grave as fence at cemetery is removed

A corrugated fence around George Michael ’s grave has finally been removed, nearly three weeks after his funeral.

But fans will still not be able to visit the final resting place of the singing legend – because it is in a private area of London’s Highgate Cemetery.

And graveyard chiefs have made clear that the plot will not be included in its £12 guided tour.
The tall barrier was placed round the grave after George’s funeral on March 29, when he was laid to rest alongside mum Lesley in a private family ceremony.

The star’s plot is surrounded by pots of elegant white flowers, among the old tombs and headstones of the famous graveyard.
