BADIN: Different areas of the district on Thursday are observing shutter-down strike as a demonstration of protest demanding former home minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza’s arrest after he stormed the police station.
According to details, at least 12 different cases have been registered against the former minister under different clauses of the Terrorism Act.
Pakistan People’ Party (PPP) and Traders Union called for a strike in different towns of the district including Badin, Khoski and Pangrio.
The markets are closed and there is negligible public transport. However, aerial firing incidents have also been reported from different areas.
