KARACHI: Minister for Information and Local Government Mr Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that Imran Khan was using filthy language against PPP leadership because PPP did not support him to topple PML-N government unconstitutionally.
This he said while reacting to the severe criticism being made by PTI chief against PPP leadership in his public meetings.
Mr Sharjeel said that Imran Khan on the advice of some non-state actors and followers of dictatorship launched a movement against elected government of Mian Nawaz Sharif. “This he was doing in his power-hunger and was serving the purpose some unscrupulous elements. Therefore, PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari decided to extend his party support to the system established through a democratically transfer of power,” he said and added that the political strategy envisaged by Mr Zardari upset Imran Khan’s apple cart and his dreams which he was seeing in the broad day light to become prime minister shattered badly.
He advised him to bridle his tongue and demonstrate decency. “We always welcome constructive criticism but would never tolerate you (Imran Khan) to use dirty language and stinting words against our leaders. Don’t force us to demonstrate tit for tat,” he said.
Mr Sharjeel memon further said that PPP leadership has developed culture of tolerance, broadmindedness and political co-existence. “I would suggest you not to break this code, otherwise you will face the music and would not be able to show your face in your public meetings,” he concluded.
