Shah Mahmood Qureshi condemn govt over Punjab power outage

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi Friday condemned the suspension of electricity supply in Punjab.
‘Electricity supply has been cut off across Punjab so that people could not watch coverage of PTI’s sit-ins in Karachi,” he said while addressing the party’s rally at Nursery.
Responding to Qureshi’s comments, Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said that power outage was due to some technical fault at Mangla and Tarbela plants.
“May Allah give Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi the courage to speak truth,” he said.
The minister further said that it was imperative that Imran Khan return to Parliament for making amendments in existing laws.
“We have already written to the Supreme Court regarding establishment of a judicial commission,” he said, adding that government cannot dictate the apex court.
