Shah, Haq discuss political situation

ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah met with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq and discussed the current political situation in the country.

Several meetings have been held between key political players as August 14 approaches.
Speaking to the media following the meeting, Shah said he was holding meetings in an effort to ‘save the system.’ Shah said Asif Ali Zardari had expressed his concern and stressed that the government should complete its five year tenure.

JI chief Siraj-ul-Haq said they were trying to resolve the situation instead of being a silent spectator.
