Seven bodies found in Manghopir

KARACHI: In the recent episode of violent incidents and target killings in the business hub of the country, seven tortured bodies were recovered from Manghopir area while a policeman was also killed in Korangi on Monday morning.

According to the rescue sources, the bodies bearing torture marks were found dumped in the bushes at the Ijtima Gah Ground in Manghopir area early morning that were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal and identification purposes.

Police told that all the victims who aged between 20 and 40 were kidnapped, tortured and later shot to death by unknown culprits. Empty shells of 9mm pistol were also found at the crime scene.

Three out of seven victims were identified as Shoaib, Khan Saeed, and Yousuf who belonged to Swat while police have also claimed that the deceased belonged to a banned outfit.

Police have initiated investigation and are also questioning the local residents to get any information about the incident, however, they remained unsuccessful in making any headway until now.

On the other hand, a policeman was killed when unidentified assailants opened fire at Bilal Chowrangi in Korangi area.
