LARKANA: Rs 7 billion outstanding dues of SEPCO Larkana are against the public and private sectors of Sindh government in Larkana, local government TMAs is on top of defaulters with Rs 3 billions, joint operation of SEPCO and FIA teams has been initiated against the power thefts and defaulters in Larkana division.
SEPCO has disconnected the electricity of government schools, PPHI office and all BHUs and RHCs, beside 1600 FIRs have been lodged against the defaulters and power thefts at different Police Stations, Executing Engineer Mushtaque Burdi told this scribe,
He apprised that total Rs 6925 million outstanding dues against the defaulters among Rs 2612 million against private consumers and Rs 4313 against the government departments including CMC Hospital Larkana and its other units Rs 480 millions, Chandka Medical College Rs 104 millions, Police with Rs 202.7 millions, Agriculture Department Rs 52 millions, Jail department Rs 20 millions, Public Health Department Rs 19.6 millions, Irrigation Department Rs 33.9 millions, Education Department Rs 215.3 millions, Health Department Rs 203.7 millions, PPHI Rs 70 millions, DFC Rs 0.5 millions, Vetinery department Rs 46 millions, Income Tax Larkana Rs 7 millions, Railway Rs 4.4 millions, SSGC Larkana Rs 0.8 millions dues are against it beside several other provincial and federal departments are in defaulter list.
Executive Engineer further informed that total 47562 consumers among 36591 domestic, 9837 Commercial and 675 industrial units are legally consuming the electricity out of 15 million populated district Larkana.
SEPCO authority has taken concrete actions to avoid the power theft and other line losses by introducing ABC Cable in Larkana, added that so far 1500 meters have been replaced, while ABC Cable work is in progress at Larkana to avoid the power thefts and Kundha connections practice, objective of installation of cable and new meters is to stream line prevailing system.
Mustaque Burdi disclosed that SEPCO has got details of funds budget data of all departments of Sindh and Federal, which have a lot of funds but concerned officials are reluctant to clear outstanding amongst, Police have Rs 26 millions, CMC Rs 7 millions, Roads Department Rs 10 millions, DFC Rs 26 millions, Central Jail Rs 3 millions and other departments have funds of millions rupees but reluctant to utilize them ST held protest against private news channel in Larkana.
LARKANA: Pakistan Suni Tehreek led by provincial President Mulana Noor Ahmed Qasmi took out the protest rally and staged demonstration against the private news channel for desecrating against the Ahle Bait here on Friday.
The rally started from bunder road which marching through various routes culminated at Jinah Bagh and Larkana Press Club where enraged activists of ST shouted the slogans against the private news channel on allegedly using unfair words in morning show program which is intolerable.
Provincial President said that private news channel has hurt the hearts of millions Muslims of World, prior to this incident, same channel confronted with patriotic Pak Army of country which is deplorable.
He demanded of Pakistan government to take notice of matter and punish involved accused otherwise ST will continue its country wide protest.
On the occasion provincial leader ST Mulana Ali Nawaz Qasmi, Abdul Rashid Sangi, Hafiz Hussain Bux Hakro and others participated in protest.
Mean while Shia Ulema e Council and Wahdad e Muslimeen and Asgharia Students organization staged sit in at Jainah Bagh Chok against the aggression of US, Israel and private news channel of Pakistan on telecasting desecrating program.
