ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has called for “release of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and his cabinet from dharna jail”.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, the railways minister invited the protesters to join hands with the government to help internally displaced persons and flood victims.
He said that thousands of IDPs and rain affected people were awaiting government’s aid in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Rafique said that Sindh and Punjab had been facing floods while KP had to address problems of IDPs.
He urged the protesters to end their sit-in in Islamabad and support flood victims.
