LAHORE: Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique on Saturday asked the chief of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain to have mercy on his party and withdraw his controversial remarks.
While addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Walton Overhead Bridge in Lahore, Saad Rafique said that the nation and state institutions have disliked Altaf Hussain’s poisonous remarks, adding that he should withdraw his statements and apologize to the nation.
Saad Rafique said that people of Karachi will be protected from extortionists and target killers.
Lashing out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said the judicial commission has exposed Imran Khan’s lies. The minister said that false allegations by Imran Khan and Altaf Hussain are unacceptable.
