AHMEDABAD: Rajasthan Royals won their IPL match against Delhi Daredevils by 62 runs at the Sardar Patel Stadium.
Rajasthan scored a daunting 201/6 after Delhi won the toss and put them in. Main feature of the Rajasthan innings was a 50 ball 64 by AM Rahane with the help of 8x4s and a six.
KK Cooper scored a quick 32 off 16 balls and SV Samson got 40 off 25 balls. JP Faulkner finished the innings well with an 8 ball 23 with 3x6s.
S.Nadeem and I.Tahir got 2 wickets each giving away 35 and 25 runs respectively.
In reply Delhi never looked like chasing the runs down as there were no mentionable partnerships.
Delhi kept losing wickets and eventually fell 62 runs short of the winning target. MK Tiwary saved the daredevils from an embarrassing situation as he scored 61 off 44 balls with 5x4s and a couple of sixes.
Except for R Bhatia who got 2 wickets, all the other bowlers used got a wicket each.
AM Rahane was later declared player of the match.
