The Rock has revealed he was suspended from school on two occasions for fighting kids who called wrestling ‘fake’.It is a well known fact that results in wrestling are predetermined, however, the wear and tear on a performer’s body is certainly very real… just ask Jason Jordan, Edge or Paige.
In an episode of Young Rock, a television series that looks back on Dwayne Johnson’s experiences growing up, a scene shows the WWE legend knocking a classmate out after he had mocked the authenticity of wrestling.
And The Rock confirmed to his fans on social media that the scene had actually happened in real life.
A tweet read: “Teenage @TheRock knocking out a kid at school for calling wrestling ‘fake’ just made my night. Because you know it happened.”
And The Rock replied: “Hi Jack, yup it sure did happen. Twice. I pile drived a kid in elementary. KO’d a kid in high school. Got suspended both times.
“I was wrong. But back in the 80s I was taught by my dad and all the wrestlers to always ‘protect the business’. It’s what we we did.”
