Religious clerks launch 2 mln long march to CM House & Garhi Khuda Bux

: The General Secretary of JUI-F Sindh chapter, Moulana Rashid Mehmood Sommro addressing the press conferences on Wednesday in the local seminary Badar-ul-Uloom in Badin city and Jamia Farooquia seminary in Tando Bago town announced to launch the long march with 2 million people on November 30 towards either towards CM House in Karachi or from Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto from Larkana to register their protest against non- arrest of the helpers of the killers of his father if government failed to arrest those helped in the killing of his father.

He told that millions of the people would gather in Larkana on the first death anniversary of his slain father Moulana Khalid Mehmood Soomro and would then announce the strategy to put the pressure on Government for the acceptance of their demands. He claimed that mostly the killers of his father had already been arrested but adding he alleged that the helpers of the killers of his father Moulana Khalid Mehmood were roaming scot- free with the police protocol. He again made it clear that many people including the custodians of some shrines were involved in the assassination of his father under a very deep seated conspiracy.

Moulana Soomro also announced to end the parleys and the possibility of making any electoral alliance with PPP government in Sindh adding he claimed that during their 11 rounds of meetings with party high-ups they had placed 11 condionalities for the alliance with PPP in Sindh but neither functionaries of Sindh Government nor PPP leadership despite the lapse of over one week responded seriously towards their demands. He said that Sindh government had miserably failed to maintain the law and order situation in interior Sindh adding he, however, highly lauded the efforts of LEAs for making sincere efforts to give the relief to the people both in urban and rural areas. He said those plundered millions were fleeing the country to save their skins adding he demanded the high-ups to put the names of all the unscrupulous elements on ECL so that public money could be retrieved from them. .

He alleged that Asif Ali Zadari was only interested in making the money through the illegal means adding he challenged PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto to contest elections against him from everywhere in Sindh in the next general elections especially on NA 207 Larkana. Moulana Soomro said that the chief of PTI Imran Khan miserably failed to get any response during his recent tour to different parts of Sindh adding he claimed that there was no future of PTI in Sindh province. to question he said that his party would make the electoral alliance in coming LB polls with parties like PML-N, PML-F and others and individuals like former chief Minister Sindh Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza and others in various districts of the province on the district level in all 29 districts of the province. He claimed most of the political heavyweights of the province including Mehars of Ghotki, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Sheerazi of Thatta, Nahid Khan and Safdar Abbasi and others were in his contact for the electoral alliance. Replying to a question Moulana Soomro said that he was praying for the recovery of PPP chairman if he was he was suffering from some chronic ailment. He said that not Sharjeel Inam Memon but many other close aides of Mr Zardari and Ms Faryal Talpur would soon become approvers against the corrupt people of Pakistan Peoples Party.

He said that the sentiments of nationalism among the people of Sindh was very much there but the common people had fed up with the nationalist parties and their leaders adding he said that there was no future of the nationalists in Sindh.

INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY OBSERVED

SHIKARPUR: International Literacy Day organized by school level events in partner Schools, lectures were delivered on the significance of the day, students took active part in stage performances like tableaus, speeches, poems, arts activities and write-ups prizes were distributed amongst best performing students by notables guests here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Jameel Ahmed Jameel the Assistant Commissioner/ & Tehsil Education Officer Garhi Yasin said that this is great initiative of (ITA) to introduce such extracurricular activities in Government Schools, marking of international days brings awareness amongst children, make them understand the significance and importance of these days adding more International literacy day gives great opportunity to reiterate our resolve to ongoing commitment of the world community to recognize and support literacy as a key to personal development and to the socio-economic.
Furthermore, in their performances children are demanding their right to education, the right which is guaranteed by government and United Nations, we at our end have to make our promise by giving them free of cost quality education.
Mr Nadeem Ahmed Sheikh district coordinator LSU / RSU said that on this day every child should make a commitment of bringing a child to School this is how they can play their role in eliminating out of Schools ratio in government Schools.
Mr. Waheed Ahmed Agha District Officer Social Welfare Department and focal person child protection unit (CPU) added that mainstreaming of marginalized children is need of the time huge number of children don’t have access to School, we together have to cope with this situation; marking of such days is great initiative towards achieving this goal, holding such event in rural Schools is great step of (ITA), Mr zahid Ahmed Abro he further added that is key stake holder in addressing issue of out of School children.
Mr. Maqbool Ahmed Laghari thanked all the participants for taking their time out in the event he highlighted the role of ITA in promotion of quality of education in District Shikarpur, he further added that child is centre of our educational activities, this particular day gives us chance to re-gather our energies and thoughts in achieving the united goal which is achieving universal primary education.
In the same connection in the morning awareness walk took place from Government boys primary school lakhi dar which culminated at press club Shikarpur, walk was attended education department officials, National Commission for Human development (NCHD) team and citizens of Shikarpur in big number.

COACH OVERTURNS, 04 INJURED

SHIKARPUR, September 09: A speedy coach was coming from Sukkur for Quetta which was overturned due to over speed at Jacobabad by-pass on Wednesday.
As a result of accident four passengers identified as Mst Mundar Bai, Teso mal, Mst Anwar Khatoon and Barkat Ali Solangi sustained severe injuries.
Rescue team rushed on the spot and injured persons shifted to Civil Hospital Jacobabad for medical treatment.

YOUTH ELECTROCUTED

SHIKARPUR: A youth identified as Nadeem Soomro of, 23, was electrocuted when he came in contact with live an electric wire at Mirani Muhalla in home in the jurisdiction of New Faujdari police station on last late night.
Area police rushed on the spot and body of the deceased handed over to his heirs after having conducted post-mortem examination at District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital Shikarpur.
Later, he was laid to rest his ancestral graveyard after offering funeral prayers.

SHIKARPUR: The journalists of Shikarpur condemned the murder of senior journalist Aftab Alam and engineer Arshad Ali Jaffari by some unidentified assailants in Karachi on Wednesday.
According to reports the journalists of Shikarpur held an emergent meeting on the occasion senior journalist Waheed Phulpoto said that the killing of journalists in Karachi is condemnable act while in 24 hours two incidents occurred in which a senior journalist Aftab Alam and DSNG vehicle of private channels engineer Arshad Ali Jafari were killed and injuring the driver.
Furthermore journalists are being targeted and termed that the attacks are being against the independence of media to spread harassment among the journalist and condemned such practice.
On the occasion senior journalist Sikandar Khalid Siddiqui, Agha Kamran, Ibrahim Brohi, Abdul Khaliq Soomro and others strongly condemned the killing of journalists and demanded to high ups to take notice of the matter and immediately arrest culprits and provide protection to journalists.

International Literacy day observes by NCHD

BADIN Sep 08: The international literacy day was observed by ELP teachers of NCHD and Sindh Education Foundation with holding awareness rally in district Badin.

According to the reports, on Tuesday, ELP teachers of NCHD and Sindh Education Foundation Badin celebrated international day of literacy by holding awareness rally at Badin. The rally was participated by hundreds of students of various schools of district Badin and teachers and led by Khalid Hussain Talpur, District education Officer, Badin, Noor Din Jamali, Mumtaz Ali Notkani, Mir Mohammad Khoso, district Scout Secretary, Syed Imran Shah, Taluka Education Officer, Imtiaz Rind, Program Manager, NCDH, Ashfaque Ahmed Memon, Assistant Program Manager, NCHD. When Imran Ghanchi, Ramzan Soomro, Sarwar Soomro and others participated by Sindh Education Foundation.

While addressing the participants’ representatives of NCHD said education is basic right of the people and also it plays role of an eye to make the future brighten, adding more, they said that parents should give attention towards their children for education and as we can compete the world. Furthermore they said that 08 September is being celebrated throughout the world as literacy day and adding more they said no one can touch the destination without education.
