Rangers reject MQM’s allegations of extra judicial killing

Don’t let children become target killers: DG Rangers

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Friday rejected all allegations leveled by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) regarding ‘extra-judicial’ killing of its four workers.
According to the Rangers spokesman, such a propaganda was baseless and misleading. He said that according to information they were in hiding at the`MQM safe houses’ at the behest of the party.
According to Rangers, these `terrorists were involved in the killing of MQM Legal Aid Committee member lawyer Hasnain Bukhari and were in hiding at the behest of the party’s high command’.
It was maintained that earlier ` MQM worker Waqas Shah’s killer Asif Ali was sent into hiding in interior of Sindh by the party high command. Waqas Shah was killed during operation at 90.
Rangers had later arrested Asif Ali during an action in Shahdadpur area. The hostile reaction of the MQM on the killing of those involved in the murder of Hasnain Bukhari, is not understandable.
It was made clear that the Rangers would continue operation till elimination of elements involved in targeted killings, their facilitators and financiers.
Director General of the Rangers, Bilal Akbar has appealed to the people of Karachi to save their children from becoming “target killers”.
Talking to newsmen on Friday, the DG Rangers said that the children of so-called political leaders were either studying abroad or running businesses, but no one was pulling triggers.
“I appeal to parents to protect their children from falling prey to criminal elements,” he said, adding that none of the terrorists made his own child a suicide bomber.
