Rangers arrest Lyari gang war leader Uzair Baloch near Karachi

KARACHI: Main accuse of Lyari gang war Uzair Baloch has been arrested from Karachi on Saturday.
Rangers spokesperson said, Rangers raided on an intelligence information in suburb area of Karachi and detained the main accuse of Lyari gang.
The spokesman said Uzair Baloch was trying to enter in Karachi. It had been reported in past that Intelligence agencies detained Baloch and he was in their custody in Islamabad.
It should be mentioned here that, Uziar Jaan Baloch was charged in several sensitive cases including murder, murder attempt, kidnapping for ransom, extortion, police battles and various other cases.

KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday handed over Lyari gang leader Uzair Jan Baloch to Rangers for a period of 90 days.
Baloch, who was arrested on outskirts of Karachi earlier in the day, was produced before ATC judge Farooq Shah amid heightened security.
Rangers pleaded 90-day physical remand of the accused, a request which was granted by the court.
The court also allowed the formation of a joint instigation team (JIT) to grill Uzair Baloch.
With head-money of Rs.5 million, the main character of Lyari gang war is facing over 55 cases of murders, kidnappings, extortion and terrorism.
Following the arrest, sources said, police and Rangers have been put on high alert, with enhanced patrolling in Lyari in the wake of any possible reaction.
