KARACHI: Commissioner, administrator Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has declared rain emergency in Karachi division in view of weather outlook for next 36 hours, “heavy falls may generate urban flooding”, by the Pakistan Metrological Department.
Different offices of KMC will remain opened for all seven days in order to carry out required functions and to avoid loss of human lives and properties, said a statement on Friday.
The departments of KMC where leaves of Saturday and Sunday have been cancelled include the Metropolitan Commissioner Secretariat, Technical Services Department, Parks & Horticulture Department, Municipal Services Department, Medical & Health Services Department,
Local Taxes (Advertisement) Department and Vehicle Department, KMC.
